Goal Statement

When I was younger, I always wanted to be a superhero. I planned it to where I was going to go to find some toxic waste and roll in it so I could get super powers. This was my dream until reality smacked me in the face. Superheroes didn’t exist, but I soon found out there were other ways to be a real hero. I could still help people like I always wanted, just with less powers. That why I inevitably decided to come to the University of Kentucky to pursue my dreams to become a social worker.  My goal is to graduate from here with both my Bachelors and Masters in social work, but before I do that I have to get through my freshman year first. My goal for this year is to have the best experience I can of course, but I still have to focus quite a bit on my school work so I can advance on to the school of social work. I hope to become a licensed clinical social worker so that I can become a therapist and help people directly. It’ll obviously take me quite some time to get there but in 5 years I hope to be graduated with my Bachelors in social work
